years ago, After IL SOLE 24 ORE had purchased this site, they hired architect
Renzo Piano for a new renovation. The construction had started in 1998, and
completed in autumn 2004. This new building had reserved the existing structures
and masterplan but expanded the newspapers's roles. In addition to them, It has
many cultural points that are , for example, library, auditorium, interior
gardens. All these new parts of this building were planned in the artificial
islands being in the center void space of the building. Even though one span of
the building is 160m, the building is very light and fresh for its transparent
facades using glass and the changes connecting left and right sides of the small
gardens that divide the building's mass and prepare for the outside's 6
elevators.

There is Media Center in hilversum, Netherlands. The citizen of
hilversum worked and participated in this media center. As the role of media
center expanding, they needs a new Media Headquarters. So, New Media HQ had
completed at adjacent land, in november, 2003. The architect is Koen van Velsen
who lives in hilversum and also his office. He had started to design 30 years
ago,in 1977. The year of 2007, is very special to him. For celebrating it, he
had exhibited his works in hilversum's museum. And that time, Everyone talk
about his architectural world. This architecture, Media HQ is his representative
work. He didn't design the architecture as a result. He placed the architecture
as a start point of New nature. He plans the void space with the natural
materials, and the original locations. In his architecture, both the map and the
materials play a role. It produces a profound aesthetic some things in his
architecture. You feel that in this film. I had focused the tree and the text of
entree on the glass of the entrance door. It gives to me the feeling of "in
tree world".

Even though its role being broadcast building, this architecture is called as
Villa VPRO for having the space of residential part. Completed in 1997, Each
floor forms are so bent, it seems like the opening of architecture. And it have
rhythmically adjusted to the existing undulated land. The vertical double
layer's accordion windows contrast to the horizontal floor have produced many
diverse effects about the facade images. The Courtyard of Villa VPRO reminds me
that of La Tourette, for its transparent cross circular corridors surrounding
it. The spaces of the piloti are used for the parking and reiterative with
neighbor NET3.

This building had been completed in 2000 that is communal entrance building of
the three architectures among VPRO, RVU, and Net3. The neighbor VPRO is well
connected with Net3 by a sunken space, underground' parking space, and the
bridge over the each other's buildings. Its close movement of the people in
architecture is very excellent. The using of the high reflex green glasses on
the building's surface, it is possible for you to perceive all around natural
environment on the facade of the building NET3. When you be there, you can feel
more and more the natural one like the real nature, for the array of the
outside's wood design with the high density on the building's surface. The
climate characteristics of the Hilversum is a moss growing well. Soon, The green
glasses and the mosses on the wood of the architecture, will make another
natural green world.
